A total of 238 Indonesian citizens who were evacuated from Wuhan, China before undergoing observations in Natuna, Riau Islands were finally declared free from the coronavirus.

The group, consisting of 158 women and 80 men, was evacuated from Wuhan on February 2. The youngest of them is 5 years old; the oldest is 64. All 238 have been under quarantine and observation for 14 days at the Raden Sajad Air Base, Ranai, Natuna, Riau Islands.

On Saturday, February 15, they were transported to Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport, Jakarta. Using three aircraft, namely two Boeing 737s and one Lockheed C-130 Hercules of the Indonesian Air Force, they arrived in Indonesia’s capital in the afternoon. Some of them immediately continued their journey to their hometowns in various regions using commercial aircraft.

As proof of their health, the Ministry of Health has provided each person with a health certificate stating they are healthy, without the coronavirus or COVID-19.

“We also complemented the health certificate from the results of monitoring during the observation,” said Minister of Health Terawan at Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport.
